OVERVIEW

The Queen of Calitzdorp offers fifteen (15) luxury end-suite rooms, most with balconies and views. Our rooms are furnished to the highest standard with elegant solid wood furniture. The luxurious ensuite bathrooms boast glass enclosed showers and the basins have granite vanity tops.

All bedrooms feature air-conditioning, overhead fans, fridges, 32” flat-panel televisions with HD DStv and complimentary Wi-Fi. Those with balconies have views over the adjacent Boplaas vineyards and the Nel’s river valley or over the town towards the Swartberg mountain range.

We are in walking distance of Boplaas, De Krans and Calitzdorp Celler wine-tasting rooms. Day tours can be arranged to many of the popular tourist attractions in the area including Seweweekspoort, Die Hel, Prince Albert, De Rust, Cango Caves and working ostrich farms.

Green luxury in the Klein Karoo
The guesthouse is largely powered by solar panels and we have implemented up-to-date environmental standards throughout. The beautiful gardens are watered utilising grey and rainwater storage tanks, saving precious water which is important in the semi-arid Klein Karoo. An outreach recycling initiative with one of the residents in the nearby Bergsig community has been implemented.

Room Types

These rooms all have a balcony and views. All of our rooms are beautifully appointed and equipped with air conditioning, DSTV, coffee and tea making facilities, hair dryer, electronic safe, en suite bathrooms (with showers) and access to a complimentary Wi-Fi network.

Deluxe King
Our Deluxe King rooms have an Extra Length bed that can be converted to a Twin Bed setup.

Deluxe Queen
Our Deluxe Queen rooms have an Extra Length bed and all of these rooms have a balcony.

Exclusive Twin
Our Exclusive Twin rooms have Extra Length beds and can be converted to Exclusive King rooms. These rooms all have a balcony.

Exclusive Queen
Our Exclusive Queen rooms both have a balcony.

Superior Twin
Our Superior Twin room has standard twin beds and can be converted to a King Bed. There is no balcony in this room.

Superior Queen
Our Superior Queen room has standard bed and has a balcony.

Standard Queen
Our Standard Queen room has a standard queen-size bed. There is no balcony in this room.

Family King
Our Family King rooms have an Extra Length king bed with a maximum of two pullout single beds (only suitable for children 12 years or younger). Cots are also available. Children are subject to an additional charge of R200 per child. This room is available with or without a balcony.
